Fred
When I started working on Fred, I was building a solution to a problem I’d been experiencing myself. You see, I’ve always believed that achieving big goals isn’t about vague intentions or lofty dreams—it’s about breaking them down into actionable, achievable steps. A proper plan makes all the difference. But back then, I couldn’t find a tool that did exactly what I needed. So, I decided to create one.

How I created Fred
Fred is an iOS app for anyone who wants to get serious about their goals. It’s not just about writing things down—it’s about turning those dreams into a plan, with bite-sized tasks to keep you moving forward. There’s even a library of goal templates for when you need a little inspiration or a nudge in the right direction.
The idea started when I realized I wanted to learn more about building native iOS apps. I’ve always been curious about the process, but this project wasn’t just about the tech for me. It was about making something useful, something I’d actually use.
To make Fred a reality, I teamed up with a group of developers in India. Working with them was an adventure of its own. We were in different time zones, from different cultures, speaking different languages—but it worked. And honestly, it pushed me to be a better product manager. Communication had to be crystal clear, priorities had to be nailed down, and every decision had to move us closer to building something great.

My design playground
One thing I obsessed over was the design. I wanted Fred to feel good to use—simple, intuitive, and inspiring. Not just another productivity app, but something that would make you want to open it, explore it, and stick with it. A tool that helps you do the hard stuff without making it harder.
Now, every time I open Fred, I feel a sense of pride. It’s not just an app; it’s a little piece of my story. If it helps even a handful of people achieve their goals, it’ll be worth it. If you’re curious, give it a try. Who knows? It might just help you tackle that big thing you’ve been putting off.
